Beat the heat and boost your recovery with this refreshing Berry Lemonade Slushie! This is the perfect thing after a good workout or any activity, with sweet strawberries and crisp lemons to elevate the flavor and add some vitamin C!

This isn’t any ordinary slushie though – it contains a very special ingredient – my Rock and Restore essential amino acids!

My blend includes all 9 of the essential amino acids (including the BCAA’s) in their free form for rapid absorption and metabolic use so you can rock your workouts, build lean muscle, recover faster, boost your immune system and improve cognitive function. With an optimal dose of leucine (the most muscle-supporting of the BCAA’s) this is the perfect workout support!

You might be wondering: what are amino acids, why would I need them and how do they differ from dietary protein?

Amino acids are involved in virtually ALL of your body’s cellular processes. Berry Lemonade Workout Slushie

Yield: 1 serving

You will need: measuring cups, knife, cutting board, blender

Ingredients:

  • 1 serving (11 g) Rock and Restore aminos 
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup frozen strawberries
  • 1 lemon, peeled and cut in chunks

Directions:

  1. In a blender, combine the Rock and Restore, ice, water, frozen strawberries and lemon.
  2. Blend until smooth and slushy-like consistency is achieved.
  3. Pour into a glass and garnish with an optional lemon wedge.
  4. Enjoy immediately!
